Rain, Rain Go Away!

Posted by
Monterey John (Hollister, CA, United States) on 23 December 2010 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

It's been raining off and on for over two weeks in the Bay Area. My toes are beginning to web and I think I am starting to mildew. Old, very old!

I had enough of it and headed up to the top of Mount Hamilton to be in the clouds and see what that was like. It was interesting. I shot this image looking to the Northwest from Lick Observatory. The thing that looks like some sort of flaw in the image at left center above the trees is actually one of the telescope domes atop the mountain.

Processing is a blend of Lightroom and Photomatix though not an HDR.
