Survivor

Monterey John (Hollister, CA, United States) on 17 September 2010 in Food & Cuisine and Portfolio.

I was amazed to see this lamp post directly in the shadow of the Towers that somehow survived the disaster. In the background is one of those green topped buildings that neighbors the site.

On the techy processing side, this was a fun image to get the perspective right . LOTS of small windows! It's not perfect, but as close as I could get it.

I put a web gallery of my 9/11/2010 umages up here:http://wilson-of-waterbury-photographer.com/Galleries.html

Excellent processing, John, and the lamp pole against the building is striking!

A million little squares broken up by a gently curved lamppost - very cool composition.

Oh, I love the strong geometric shapes, here. And the perfect counterpoint...the graceful old lamp post.
A bright clear, dynamic image !!

Stunning! You might want to bring it down 8" to see the whole thing so I do not have to scroll down!
