Sanctuary

This is the sanctuary of the 1st Congregational Church in Litchfield. I gave some of its history yesterday. Take a look if such things are of interest to you.

The boarded window at the left rear is the result of something very rare in Connecticut, a tornado. The window to the right rear has been replaced and this one soon will be.

The Puritan simplicity is evident here.

An excellent viewpoint and so much like many Methodist churches in the UK, I guess this 190 year old building is as historical as you can get in the US!!
