More Lightroom 2 Work

Wild flowers atop the dunes at Monterey Bay.

Can you see what I did here? Look at the cumulus clouds and the coastline of The People's Republic of Santa Cruz in the far distance. These were all but washed out in the original RAW file. I darkened the cloud with the brush tool, i.e. reduced exposure in that small area, and goosed the saturation in the coastline. Bringing up these details greatly increased the "depth" of the image I think.

Nice work! Something I have to practice with.... I don't do much of "fancy" stuff in Lightroom or Photoshop but would love to learn how. ;)
The sky is fantastic! Nice composition too. :)

You have mastered that tool that I am so anxious to learn!! Great job you did on this one...It's just great that with that one little tool, you can "save" a shot !!

Very nice results. I like the flowers in the foreground and I agree that the photo wouldn't have been nearly as effective if you had "pumped up" the distant shoreline. Well done.
