Lightroom Flash player

I've been working on my portfolio and decided a flash show might be fun. This is a feature built into Lightroom that can be handy for those who have their own websites. Insofar as I know, the flash player keeps folks from pinching your images while at the same time showing off your work. You can also make HTML galleries with the usual risks and steps to mitigate those risks.

I have been trying a couple of different players for doing slideshows (they work with Lightroom). The one built into Lightroom is a little cumbersome on my server though compared to Autoplayer (another Flash player). However I like the info that is included in the Lightroom Flash Player. I know that Lightroom loads 4 different size images per slideshow so I am thinking of eliminating 2 of them and just leaving the large and thumbs. I don't know if that will affect the function of the player since I haven't tried it but it took an aweful long time to upload to the server compared to the Autoplayer.

I just added a slideshow tab to my site. I only have 2 small ones there right now...but I am still tring to figure out the most efficient system for them. I like the extra info in the Lightroom viewer but I'm bothered by the amount of time it took to upload it. I like the appearance of the Autoview and how fast it uploads but wish it could include a little more info.

As far as stealing images goes? Where there is a will there is a way, if someone really wants to take them they will. No plan is foolproof, unfortunately. Although this is probably makes it much more difficult for the average person. Many of my images have been sourced by "Myspace" accounts directly from my server. It is annoying. When I find some Myspace user that had done that I usually change out the image with something...well lets just say less than nice, like a picture of roadkill when they source an image of a pretty flower...lol...It is really funny to see the reactions. But they get what they deserve for sourcing my images without permission...lol!
