I'm Back! - ZOOOOM!Posted by MontereyJohn (Salinas, California, United States) on 23 May 2009 in Transportation and Portfolio. Wow, that was painful ... bringing back my photo-portfolio. It took a serious amount of time and I made some mistakes along the way that cost me some really favored images. If this happens to anyone, i.e. accidentally deleting data or otherwise losing it, I found a good free recovery program, Pandora Recovery.. It works very well if you are careful. If, like me, you store your images on an external hard drive, be sure to recover your images to a separate device or you might end up overwriting some of the very stuff you are trying to recover. Even so, I successfully recovered 90-95% of my 200 gig portfolio. Pretty darn good given that this was the first time I have ever had to do something like this. If this happens again, I know that it is possible to recover 100% and that I now know how to do it. This image of an Air Force Thunderbird over Monterey is from my recovered pictures, and I'm really glad to have it and all my other little pixeled friends. Thanks for dropping by and sharing in the joy I take in this art of photography. Enjoy your visit, and if you have any comments or useful criticisms, please feel free to share them.
