Wowzie..........what a terrific shot. I love their soft golden head feathers compared to the coarse feathers on their bodies ... and just look at that banded, webbed foot.

They seem to like the Sony Alpha; posing like champions, and you caught those poses well... or was it the Sony? Heh. And yes, I can quote Ray Bradbury and Arthur C. Clarke, and Isaac Asimov (or at least I read them)...

Oh, John, that's just perfect. The color is so accurate and that look is priceless. What a sweet photo! Have you looked into software for RAW images? I admit I've been too lazy to research what works best with an Alpha.
