Late Afternoon at Pomponio State Beach, California

Well geeze, maybe this is a pretty good place to live afterall :) This is Pomponio State Beach just south of Half Moon Bay.
I was playing with Lightrrom and decided to mess with God's handiwork a bit. Usually I am a something of a purist, if that is the right word, and don't fiddle a lot with contrast, vibrance etc. My attitude has been, if it's in the original, it's a good capture. If it's not, then too bad. Well heck, they developed this software for a reason. It's our modern darkroom. Even the great Adams was known as a darkroom master. so maybe I need to change my attitude.
This image is an example of that change of attitude. Goose the vibrance. Darken the shadows. Increase the highlights a tad. Not too bad. As Bill Cosby used to say, "it's you and me God, just you and me." :)
