Sunset at Pigeon PointPosted by MontereyJohn (Salinas, California, United States) on 18 November 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. Very unusual warm and clear evening at Pigeon Point. I was there for the re-lighting of the Fresnel lens that they do once a year. As I was setting up before the big event, we were having a lovely twilight. Not sure why I got the soft focus here. I'll have to work on that problem. Perhaps the autofocus failed in the low light or the glare of the light coming from the building threw it off. Manual focus was probably called for.
