Today I was down the Salinas Valley about 50 miles. I had forgotten what it is like to be HOT. Here on the coast we think 80 degrees as being at the end end of acceptable. down there they think nothing of it being 105 degrees.
I stopped at The Mission Soledad. There is a women there by the name of Nettie who tends their roses. I drop by from time to time, and as I was in the neighborhood anyway, I stopped in to shoot some of her lovely blooms (I'll post some later.) Nettie owns the farm next door.
