Sanctuary of San Antonio Mission

Posted by MontereyJohn (Salinas, California, United States) on 29 November 2007 in Architecture and Portfolio.

It was REALLY dark in the sanctuary. The only light came from the side windows. kind of a challenging photograph.

This mission was built in 1771 by the reknowned Father Serra. It was fully restored in 1948 by the W.R. Hearst foundation. It is a lovely if remote place.
