I had to put this up. It's not a great picture, but it sure is a great rainbow. It took my breath away.
After Christmas shopping today I set off down Route 1 following a break in the storms and squalls. This time of year can render up some great scenes along the coast. I stopped at one of my favorite spots and noticed people pulling off the road and gaping back to the north from where I was coming. I looked to see what they were all looking at, and oh my gosh!
I have never seen anything quite like this.

Would have been a great landscape except for that distracting chromatic abberation arching across the middle. (Kidding.) No, it's a wonderful capture, and you're fortunate to have seen it.
